L1-like non-LTR retrotransposon from zebrafish

L1-10_DR forms a separate family of L1-like non-LTR retrotransposons. This element is less than 70% identical to members of other L1-like families identified in the zebrafish genome. This family was active recently (no stop codons in ORF2). L1-10_DR encodes two L1-like proteins: a 281-aa gag protin (positions 136-978), probably RNA-binding, and a 1260-aa polyprotein (positions 1588-5367), which includes AP endonuclease and reverse transcriptase domains.
