Several thousand copies of DNA9NNN1_DR are expected to populate the zebrafish genome. They are ~85% divergent from the consensus sequence. This element is characterized by 9-bp terminal inverted repeats and 3-bp target site duplications. Its termini are similar to those of Harbinger-4_DR.
