TRANSIB1 (DF0001719)

Transib1 is a DNA transposon, a consensus sequence.

TRANSIB1 belongs to the TRANSIB family of DNA transposons. It generated duplications of the CNNCG target sites upon its integration into the genome, has 43-bp terminal inverted repeats, and encodes remnants of a DDE transposase. TRANSIB1 encodes the 699-aa TRANSIB1p transposase (pos. 272-290, 547-2627).
