LTR of STALKER2 retrotransposon. STALKER2 has been multiplied recently since its proviral copies are ~99.5% identical to the consensus sequence and are flanked by 99% identical LTRs. STALKER2 has generated 4-bp target-site duplications upon its integration into the drosophila genome. STALKER2 is a putative nonautonomous element since its internal portion carries a copy of the long terminal repeat DM412B_LTR.
