MARINER2_DM belongs to the Mariner/Tc1 superfamily of DNA transposons. It has generated duplications of the TA target sites upon its integration into the genome. MARINER2_DM has 29-bp terminal inverted repeats and it encodes transposase which is not completely reconstructed yet.
