DNA transposon TURMOIL2.
A brief description of the entry. Suggestions for modification to this description can be submitted using the adjacent pencil icon.
TURMOIL2 encodes HARBINGER-like transposase. The most conservative domain of the transposase is encoded by regions 3922-4137 and 4199-4651. The TURMOIL2 transposase is most similar to the transposase encoded by the TURMOIL1 transposon. Both transposons do not share similar DNA fragments but they have one remarkable hallmark being flanked by long terminal inverted repeats. TURMOIL2 is flanked by almost identical 1900-bp TIRs.
|Class||Cut and Paste|
Number of matches to this model that meet the "Gathering" threshold and more stringent "Trusted" threshold. For each threshold, two numbers are shown: (1) the number of matches to this model after removing redundant hits to other models ("non-redundant"), and (2) the total number of matches above threshold, including those with better scoring matches to other models ("all hits").
The model is 6999 positions long. The average length of non-redundant hits to the model is 3578.5. This table shows the number of hits above score thresholds:
|non-redundant||all hits||non-redundant||all hits|
