PALTA2_CE is a putative non-autonomous DNA transposon; it has almost perfect 690 bp-long terminal inverted repeat and generates duplication of TA target site upon its integration in the genome. Multiple transpositions of PALTA2_CE were likely induced by Mariner/Tc-like transposase.
