PALNN1_CE elements generate 2 bp-long target-site duplications; PALNN1_CE forms almost perfect palindrome. This family of transposable elements is very young (it may be still active in the C.elegans genome) since there is only 0.005% average divergence of PALNN1_CE copies from the consensus sequence.
