NPAL0A_CE is a putative non-autonomous DNA transposon. It does not generate identifiable target-site duplications, unless it has strong CTAG target-site specificity and induces a duplication of the central TA. NPAL0A_CE is flanked by 118 bp-long terminal inverted repeats and it forms non-perfect palindrome with a 50 bp-long central loop.
