Autonomous DNA transposon from C. elegans


MARINER5_CE is a prototype of one of the oldest Mariner-like DNA transposons in the C.elegans that were active 15-30 million years ago. MARINER5_CE is flanked by TA target site duplications and it has perfect 27 bp-long terminal inverted repeats.
