HAT3_CE nonautonomous DNA transposon


HAT3_CE is a putative non-autonomous DNA transposon. It generates 8-bp duplications of target sites upon integration in the genome. HAT3_CE has perfect 11-bp terminal inverted repeats. The length of the target site duplications indicates that transposase encoded by the autonomous HAT3_CE-like element is related to the HAT superfamily.
