Description

HAT1_CE is a putative non-autonomous DNA transposon; it generates duplication of 8 bp-long target site upon integration in the genome. HAT1_CE has 18 and 140 bp-long perfect and non-perfect TIRs, respectively. The length of the target site duplications indicates that transposase encoded by the autonomous HAT1_CE-like element is related to the HAT superfamily.
