MER44B (DF0000782)

TcMar-Tigger DNA transposon, MER44B subfamily (non-autonomous)

MER44B is an internal deletion of the Tigger7 DNA transposon. This has 23 bp TIRs, TSD is "TA". Initially reported in the opposite orientation. Note that MER stands for MEdium Reiteration frequency interspersed repeat. As such, MERs as a group are a grab bag of DNA transposons and retrotransposons.
