MER119 (DF0000716)

hAT-Charlie DNA transposon, MER119 subfamily (non-autonomous)

Has 15 bp TIRs and 8 bp TSDs (preferred NTCTAGAN). Contains a coding fragment relic similar to the Charlie3 transposase. Note that MER stands for MEdium Reiteration frequency interspersed repeat. As such, MERs as a group are a grab bag of DNA transposons and retrotransposons.
