Internal region of ERVK endogenous retrovirus, HERVK11 subfamily
A brief description of the entry. Suggestions for modification to this description can be submitted using the adjacent pencil icon.
There are two major subfamilies of HERVK11. HERVK11 is the internal variant found flanked by long terminal repeats: MER11A, MER11B and MER11C (producing 6 bp TSDs). The other internal variant is HERVK11D, and is found flanked by MER11D. HERVK11 encodes 4 proteins: gag (~156-2297), protease (~2063-3082), pol (~3037-5785) and env (~5624-7951).
Number of matches to this model that meet the "Gathering" threshold and more stringent "Trusted" threshold. For each threshold, two numbers are shown: (1) the number of matches to this model after removing redundant hits to other models ("non-redundant"), and (2) the total number of matches above threshold, including those with better scoring matches to other models ("all hits").
The model is 7953 positions long. The average length of non-redundant hits to the model is 1582.7. This table shows the number of hits above score thresholds:
|non-redundant||all hits||non-redundant||all hits|
